Welcome! Our title, “The Partnership for Healthy Weight” is kind of a mouthful, we know. But it really does describe who we are – average Utahns who see the affects of overweight and obesity on a daily basis, and have chosen to volunteer our time, effort, and in many cases, expertise, to helping our friends and neighbors live healthier lives.

We know that we are in for a long fight. The reasons for obesity are many, and often complex. Some are directly related to public policies concerning development and infrastructure; others are more personal and sensitive to each individual. But be assured. The UPHW does not want to be the “food police,” or “couch potato coaches.” Our goal is simply to change perceptions and attitudes so that Utahns of all ages and incomes will find it easy to make healthy choices wherever they may be.
